Relax? Active holiday? Culture?
La Canonica is ideal for all your needs

The historic building known as the ‘Canonica’, dating back to the 16th century, is located in the historic core of Villazzano, originally as an ecclesiastical reception structure with living quarters on the upper floors and an bishop’s flat on the attic floor characterised by large wooden trusses and a square-shaped central hall decorated with a precious Venetian mosaic on the floor.

The whole palace seems to have been used in the past to accommodate the participants of the Council of Trent (1545-1563), and later as a parish house and place of worship for the local community.

It has recently undergone an accurate restoration, supervised by the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage, with the intention of upgrading the interiors and adapting them to the new tourist/accommodation needs.

The aim was to improve the interior and adapt it to the new needs of tourism and accommodation, while preserving the historical patina that characterises it, in order to make the most of the old spaces and offer the guests of the structure quality, comfort and relaxation at the highest level.
